The Gritti Palace has been refurbished since I was there last 13 years ago. It is now very comfortable. Unfortunately an upgrade was not valuable to me but my rooms were fine (I had booked two) The breakfast is now better. The staff were excellent especially in the bar and breakfast are --very very courteous and attentive at all times and very quick. All the hotel staff was friendly. I would definitely return to this hotel.

The Gritti Palace Hotel is certainly very impressive. The position is unique, and the room decorations are magnificent. Our greeting by the receptionist Roberta was excellent. The head waiter was very helpful.

This is a magnificent Venetian hotel which surpassed all our expectations of what a Palace ought to be. We were lucky to have been upgraded in a magnificent room upon our arrival and the service we received was excellent.

A very nice property which is incredibly well located. Room service and maintenance is impeccable. The historic place exudes an atmosphere of refinement and the view from the terrace is absolutely superb. Our stay here was excellent.

Fantastic hotel, beautifully decorated and well located. The staff are the real stand out though which exceptional service throughout our stay which was always professional and courteous but managed to feel friendly at the same time. A dream hotel. Extremely well located. A very nice staff. One downside: our room, overlooking the Grand Canal, was extremely well decorated, but the view was limited to a single window.

Compare to some Palace hotel, very expensive. Breakfast pastries and bread were not that good for that sort of hotel.
